Thank You Challenge Card

I’m enjoying my last few days of Winter Break and creating cards.  I was inspired by the Heart 2 Heart Silver and Gold challenge for this card.  I love the combination of our NEW Sea Glass Paper with the All About the Gold Fundamentals overlay.

This card features a Sea Glass base with the dot overlay from the All About the Gold Fundamentals set.

Little Trick: Since the Overlays are see through, I try to hide the glue.  On this dotted paper it works really well to use glue dots behind each dot on the paper.  It’s secure with no visible glue!

I used the Thanks thin cuts and my Cuttle Bug to cut out the sentiment from scrap paper.  I stamped the flower from the Hello Lovely Thin cut bundle in Fern ink and then masked it to stamp just the flower with Versamark ink.

Stamping Tip: Masking can be used to stamp in two colors or in layers.  In this case I stamped the entire flower in Fern because I knew I was going to add the flower image on top.  For the flower I used a post-it to cover the leaves so I could stamp just the image of the flower.  Cutting out the flower was even easier because of the Thin cuts.  I just stacked both images on top of each other with repositionable tape and cut them together.

I also sponged Versamark ink onto the thanks sentiment and heat embossed that and the flower in gold.  The gold flower is attached to the leaves with 3d foam tape for dimension.  Finally, I added Black and Gold Ribbon at the top of the overlay.
