I am so excited about this card! Last Christmas I had to make TONS of cards at the last minute. I hope to avoid that next Christmas by working on cards throughout the year. To help inspire me, I am following a few different Christmas Card challenges (apparently other people need some inspiration to avoid procrastination too). I began with a Colonial White piece and stamped the angel from the Sing Glory hostess reward stamp set using versamark ink. I added clear embossing powder and set it with my heat gun. Once the image was set, I sponged glacier ink all over the Colonial White. The embossing powder resists ink leaving a clear image. After the glacier ink dried, I stamped “Rejoice” from the same set in versa mark and embossed using silver powder. Finally, I attached the angel image to silver glitter paper and added that to my black card base. The finishing touch was black twine from the baker’s twine assortment.
I am entering this card in the Christmas challenges at:
Christmas Stamping All Year Long (Anything Goes)
Holly Jolly Christmas Challenge (Angels and Fairies)
Crafty Hazelnut’s Christmas Challenge Extra (Anything Goes)
Happy crafting!
