Pink and Green Christmas in Stitches Challenge Card

Today’s card was inspired by a few different challenges.  It uses a sketch from Freshly Made Sketches, an element (stitching) from Heart 2 Heart and a color theme from Catch the Bug.  I hope you can come play in one or all of these challenges too!

Christmas card featuring CTMH Products

This cheerful Christmas card includes Pixie paper as well as a few scraps from an old set called Blossom.  I also used the retired Polar Bear Holiday stamp set.  To address the “In Stitches” theme from Heart 2 Heart, I used stitched dies for both squares.  I love getting the stitched look quickly!

Princess Pointers: This card came together very quickly

Stamp before gluing paper down – I had to flip my white image over when I dropped the stamp on it!

I paper pieced to get the green sweater for the big bear.  To paper piece, just stamp the image on the desired piece, cut it out, and attach it over the other image.

I used the Leaf Green Shin Han Marker to color the little bear’s scarf to match the big bear’s sweater.  I also added a bit of color to the ears using the Tender Pink Shin Han Marker.

The embossed background page is Pixie Paper.  I used the now retired snow flake embossing folder, but any subtle pattern would be cute!

Your Turn!  I can’t wait to see what you create.  I’ll see you around the challenges 🙂

Very cute card! I’m going to have to get some stitched dies that I keep seeing everywhere. I love the look the stitching gives and like you said, it’s quick! Thanks for sharing your art with us at H2H! 🙂
