Hello crafters! I am super excited that I got my papers a bit better organized. I have a very limited area for crafting, and it doubles as my desk for school work. This means that I have to be pretty organized so that it is easy to get out and put away what I want to work with. Last weekend I solved my problem with scrap paper. I went through the whole pile and cut the 12 inch strips in half (I don’t really do full page layouts so I don’t need anything longer than six inches). I then made dividers and placed pattern paper in the front and then cardstock in the back of a basket. Now I can see all the scraps I have and I have been using them on cards!
As an added bonus, I discovered ready made card bases. From cutting standard card bases, I had tons of strips that were the perfect size to turn in to small (3X3) card bases. Look at the stack I found while going through my scraps! Now I just have to make them into cards and remember to give them away 🙂
I’m so proud of myself. As soon as I saw this challenge on Atlantic Hearts I thought about how to use some of my newly organized scraps. I found a base, and scraps of lagoon and the star/graffiti paper from the Chalk it Up paper pack. I also stamped a flower from Happy Birds and colored it with golden yellow, turquoise blue, pastel green, and light orange Shin Han Markers. Finally, I added a strip of black shimmer trim and a puffy heart from the Chalk it up Assortment.
