Well I’m back to my usual procrastination.  I have to send out a swap later today, and I just finished it.  Luckily I had already completed the perfect background.

For the background of the card I used an experiment.  I had been playing with a stamp resist technique.  To achieve the background on this card I sponged a sheet of White Daisy card stock with Gypsy and Lagoon ink.  I then placed my feather stamp (C1584) on a block and sprayed it with our spritz cleaner.  I placed the wet stamp onto the still wet ink I had just sponged onto the cardstock.  The result was the image you see above with faint and sort of watery feathers.

To finish the ATC, I added some butterfly stamps from Your Own Kind of Wonderful (D1627).  I stamped the larger butterfly in Lagoon ink on Lagoon cardstock and added clear sparkles to the wings.  I also used 3D foam tape to give the butterfly a bit of pop.  I hope my swap partner likes it 🙂Butterfly ATC
